In 2018, USDA launched the ReConnect Program, which has invested over $1 billion up to now to broaden high-speed broadband infrastructure in unserved rural areas and tribal lands.
U.S. Division of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack introduced that the Division is offering $759 million to deliver high-speed web entry to folks dwelling and dealing throughout 24 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and Palau.

- In Colorado, the Japanese Slope Rural Phone Affiliation is receiving an $18.7 million grant to deploy a fiber-to-the-premises community connecting 1000’s of individuals, 898 farms, 110 companies and 17 academic amenities to high-speed web in Adams, Arapahoe, Cheyenne, Crowley, Elbert, Kiowa, Package Carson, Lincoln and Washington counties.
USDA is making 49 awards in 24 states, and most of the awards will assist rural folks and companies on Tribal lands.
