Dias Joins Okay-State Animal Sciences and Trade Division


Dr. Nicholas Wege Dias is a brand new assistant professor within the Kansas State College Animal Sciences and Trade Division. Dias is a beef cattle reproductive physiologist who focuses on the last word fertility components of cows to create administration methods for producers that assist enhance fertility of their herds. His appointment is 40% analysis and 60% educating.  

Dias earned his Physician of Veterinary Medication from São Paulo State College School of Veterinary Medication and Animal Science in 2016. He continued his training at Virginia Tech Division of Animal and Poultry Science and earned his grasp’s diploma in 2018 and doctorate in 2022. 

Whereas receiving a grasp’s diploma, Dias assisted in extension packages that educated state extension brokers and producers on programs about reproductive applied sciences. This curiosity in extension led him to earn a certification within the Graduate Extension Students (GES) program. Impressed by the result of his extension program and hoping to enhance his educating abilities and expertise, Dias enrolled within the Graduate Instructing Students program whereas engaged on his doctorate. Throughout this program, Dias participated in weekly periods that ready the scholar for being environment friendly at educating in larger training. He had the prospect to develop and educate his personal class on beef cattle reproductive administration.
