Outside Subject Sports activities Complicated building kicksoff

Brandon, MB – At present, the Metropolis of Brandon hosted an official ground-breaking ceremony to mark the start of main building for the Outside Subject Sports activities Complicated (OFSC), situated at 1st Road & Veterans Method.

  The Outside Subject Sports activities Complicated will embody:

  • a FIFA-sized soccer discipline with lighting
  • 11 x 11 soccer fields
  • a devoted 9 x 9 soccer discipline
  • a cricket pitch
  • a discipline home to incorporate washrooms, change rooms, concession, and multi-use area
  • a upkeep facility

The Authorities of Canada is contributing as much as $3.9 million, and the Province of Manitoba is contributing as much as $4.1 million towards eligible venture prices. The Metropolis of Brandon is contributing as much as $3.4 million towards the Outside Subject Sports activities Complicated.

  Part 1 of the venture kicked off in January 2023 and tough grading of the positioning is underway. Part 1 may even see the set up of a watermain, low stress sewer, and land drainage, together with a stormwater retention pond and flood management dike. Design for Part 2 has been ongoing concurrently, with the tender anticipated to be launched by July 2023.
