In a media launch, Manitoba RCMP stated “On June 15, 2023, at roughly 11:40 am, Brandon RCMP responded to a motorized vehicle collision on the intersection of Freeway 1 and Freeway 5.
A semi-trailer was heading eastbound on Freeway 1 and a bus carrying quite a lot of senior residents from Dauphin was headed southbound on Freeway 5. The bus had already crossed the westbound lanes of Freeway 1 and was crossing the eastbound lanes when it was struck by the semi.
