MU breaks floor on VDML $30 million renovation, enlargement


The College of Missouri hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the $30 million renovation and enlargement of the MU School of Veterinary Medication’s Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory final week.

MU’s VMDL performs greater than 167,000 diagnostic checks yearly to help Missouri’s companion and agricultural animals, wildlife and zoo animal conservation efforts. As a Degree 1 Laboratory of the Nationwide Animal Well being Laboratory Community, the VMDL performs a serious function within the early detection, testing and post-outbreaks of international and rising animal illnesses, together with avian influenza, African swine fever, foot-and-mouth illness, rabies and persistent losing illness.
