Creamy one-pan orzo with rooster, mushroom & spinach recipe

Everybody loves a one-pan dinner and I’m loving this simple one-pan orzo pasta with mushrooms, spinach, and rooster. Garlic and thyme add scrumptious flavour together with the umami-laden mushrooms & goat’s cheese. This dish comes collectively in about 20 minutes, and I used leftover store-bought rotisserie rooster.

I’m not usually the largest fan of cooking pasta with different components. I really feel it’s finest boiled in salty boiling water to get to its optimum style and texture. Nonetheless, orzo is a bit totally different as the form is so small and it could prepare dinner in an analogous technique to rice in risotto.

You don’t have to stir this as a lot as you’d risotto, however orzo tends to stay to the underside of the pan, so make sure you stir fairly steadily.

I deglazed the pan with wine and this provides wonderful flavour to the dish. If you wish to go away it out, merely use a bit additional inventory.

Inventory-wise I used a mixture of half rooster inventory and half porcini mushroom inventory as each components are included within the dish. You need to use all of both one.

This recipe makes use of precisely half a leftover Woolies rotisserie rooster. I picked off each scrap of meat from the bone. The leftover carcass can be utilized to make rooster inventory.

I used to be going to simply add cream, and this could work completely, however had a block of Chevin in my fridge and actually felt like including that robust flavour too. It melts into the dish on the add making it ultra-delicious.

To hold on with the sharper cheese flavour profile I used Pecorino Roman to complete it off, however Parmesan would work too. I little goes a great distance right here so I added a bit within the dish and a lightweight scattering on the finish.
