Dannehl joins American Gelbvieh Affiliation


The American Gelbvieh Affiliation (AGA) is happy to announce the addition of Sarah Dannehl, Wymore, Nebraska, to the AGA employees because the efficiency applications coordinator. In her position, Dannehl will help AGA members and clients with the AGA On-line Registry Service, assist AGA knowledge assortment initiatives, assist members with DNA testing questions, and give attention to member training efforts.

“We’re excited to have Sarah becoming a member of our proficient AGA crew,” says Megan Slater, AGA govt director. “She has a robust cattle background and a well-suited set of abilities that make her an important match for this position the place she’s going to work carefully with AGA members and clients.”

Dannehl grew up on her household’s farm and ranch in Bertrand, Nebraska. She was closely concerned in 4-H and FFA exhibiting cattle and horses. She acquired her bachelor’s diploma in animal science from the College of Nebraska-Lincoln in Might of 2020. She was concerned within the Sigma Alpha agricultural sorority and the Alpha Zeta nationwide honor society. Throughout school, she pursued many animal science associated internships however she did not discover her area of interest till she interned with the AGA in 2019.

“Rising up on my household’s industrial cow-calf operation, elevating Gelbvieh and Balancer cattle, the breed could be very close to and expensive to my coronary heart,” stated Dannehl. “I actually loved my internship with the AGA and am excited to be again working with the AGA crew in addition to members and producers.”

Dannehl started her position on April 17.

The American Gelbvieh Affiliation is a progressive beef cattle breed affiliation representing 1,100 members and roughly 40,000 cows assessed yearly in a performance-oriented whole herd reporting system.
