Steinbach filmmaker Randy Frykas, a former pupil at ACC in Brandon (1998-2000), is at present engaged on a sequence of documentaries capturing the tales, sights, and sounds from outside rinks across the nation.

The plan for yr 1 is to launch 10 complete episodes. As of Feb 9, Frykas has launched two episodes (Moosomin, SK & Whitehorse, YT) and filmed 5. He normally spends 10-12 hours capturing and 20-30 hours modifying for every episode. That doesn’t embody the pre-production and analysis hours that preserve issues shifting effectively. Analysis for the sequence started in June 2022.
Frykas has spent weeks researching, emailing, and making telephone calls to find out about varied rinks and the neighborhood round it.
