For the third yr in a row, we’re excited to shine a highlight on our six Farmer Champion Award Winners!  

The Farmer Champion program started in 2019 and from its inception, we’ve prioritized highlighting and celebrating companies who exit of their strategy to work with native farms throughout Georgia. The Farmer Champion program expanded in 2022 from eating places and different storefront companies, to incorporate caterers, pop-ups, and early care and schooling facilities, however the definition of Farmer Champion remained the identical.  

So, what’s the definition of a Farmer Champion? A Farmer Champion is a member of the meals service group that strives to strengthen and develop Georgia’s ‘good’ meals motion by buying from native and natural producers whereas concurrently verifying these purchases with Georgia Organics by means of bill submission.
