Kung Pao Rooster Recipe (Gong Bao Ji Ding)


Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, stir collectively 1 tablespoon of the soy sauce and the cornstarch. Add the rooster, toss nicely, and put aside to marinate for half-hour.

Step 2

In the meantime, in a separate medium bowl, stir collectively the Shaoxing wine, inventory, sugar, sesame oil, vinegar, darkish soy sauce, and the remaining soy sauce.

Step 3

To a big wok or nonstick skillet over excessive warmth, add the vegetable oil. When it’s simply starting to smoke, add the chiles, half the scallions, the garlic, ginger, and the marinated rooster, and stir-fry till the rooster is golden, 3–5 minutes. Add the soy sauce combination and proceed stir-frying till the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes extra.

Step 4

Stir within the peanuts, garnish with the remaining scallions, and serve instantly.
