MU breaks floor on VDML $30 million renovation, growth


The College of Missouri hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the $30 million renovation and growth of the MU Faculty of Veterinary Drugs’s Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory final week.

MU’s VMDL performs greater than 167,000 diagnostic checks yearly to assist Missouri’s companion and agricultural animals, wildlife and zoo animal conservation efforts. As a Stage 1 Laboratory of the Nationwide Animal Well being Laboratory Community, the VMDL performs a significant position within the early detection, testing and post-outbreaks of international and rising animal illnesses, together with avian influenza, African swine fever, foot-and-mouth illness, rabies and persistent losing illness.
