PSD Blink assists police in finding illicit medication

On September 6, 2022 shortly earlier than 5:00 pm, police carried out a site visitors cease within the 200 block of Middleton Ave.  Investigation led police to deploy PSD Blink who assisted her handler and police in finding illicit medication inside the car.

Additional investigation into the car led police to find and seized 4 ounces of cocaine with a road worth of $8000, a whole bunch of unlabeled capsules believed to be OxyContin, Canadian foreign money, a .22 caliber GSG 1911 handgun which was reported stolen in 2019, a .22 caliber journal with ammunition, and over 90 .22 caliber rounds.

The 26-year-old male from Saskatchewan was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He appeared in court docket on September 7, 2022 on costs of:

Possession for the Goal of Trafficking X2,
Possession of Proceeds of Crime,
Careless Storage of a Firearm,
Careless Storage of Ammunition,
Possession of a Weapon,
Possession of a Weapon Realizing its Possession it Unauthorized,
Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Weapon in a Car,
Possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition,
And Possession of a Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime.
