Vattayappam is a standard breakfast dish from Kerala. It’s created from rice flour and coconut milk.
Vattayappam is a conventional Kerala breakfast / tea time dish made out of rice flour, coconut milk, and jaggery.
It’s often served with grated coconut sprinkled on prime and accompanied with a small quantity of ghee. The dish can be served with a small bowl of kadala curry or chutney.

- 250 g Rice Flour high quality
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Heat Water
- 1/2 tsp Yeast
- 1/2 cup Semolina
- 1 1 1/2 cup Water
- 1 cup Coconut grated and floor to a paste
- 3/4 cup Coconut Milk
- as per style Salt
- few Raisins
make Vattayappam

Dissolve 1 tsp sugar in heat water and sprinkle yeast in it. Maintain apart.

Cook dinner semolina with water to make a gruel. Enable it to chill.

Mix the flour, yeast and gruel to make a dough.

Put aside to rise for six hours.

Add the bottom coconut paste and dilute the dough with the coconut milk.

Add salt and permit it to rise for six hours.

Pour right into a 8 inch diameter greased mildew.

Place some raisins on prime and steam in a stress cooker with out inserting the load.

Cook dinner for quarter-hour.

Minimize into wedges and serve.
